Nathan took this one of me. He said, “Smile like how you love Nathan.” so I did, and click, he took the photo. I title this, “Mommy’s love for me” by Nathan.
At the SI zoo.
This is a picture taken a few months back. Nathan knew right away what to do when he discovered it. :) I love his free, child-like heart. I laugh so much because of him everyday. Tonight before going to bed he said to me, “mommy, you have a cute nose.” Lol… Or how about his 3 point lecture on how to become a prayer warrior. He goes, “if you want to become a prayer warrior, first, you have to come to Christ. Second, you have to always worship God, and third, you have to pray a lot.” - this kid teaches me sometimes. :) Once again, thank you for this precious gift to me and to this world, Lord!
Should I be worried that people at stores come over, follow us, bring their friends pointing at my son to get a peek of his cuteness?
chanmi’s jajangbap. it was delish! thanks chams. i cant believe you grew up and are cooking for me. i still remember when you were Nathan’s age and size. But boy, times have changed. you are now “almost a fossil” as Nathan says and the director of 180 youth! every prayer i prayed to the Lord for you in your shaky teens (hehe jk), God was so faithful to answer and more! Chams, i am so proud of you for who you have become. :) let’s continue to love and serve the Lord together and forever.
Really enjoyed making these scones last night. Didn’t have enough bananas for the banana bread.

Get bitched around by the enemy less, because you know Who Jesus is and what he is about better, and his love for you and the truth that truly sets us free? Tired of losing inspiration all the time, because everything’s already been, said, done and read?
Become a reader of the Word. They are not just words, but the Spirit of God will accompany you, as you read, inspire you, break through your darkest and pettiest turmoils and dilemmas of life. And make you fall in love with the one who loves you the most, and make you need and long for the one that humanity needs the most. Let it read you. It will wash over you. “The word is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training for righteousness.” (2 Tim 3:16)

Birthday photos from 2010. So much has happened and changed in my life since I turned 32. I am thankful for the life that God has blessed me with. :)
Pretty book covers. Set them up in a straight line at TJ Maxx just to get a picture. How girly, and oh so pretty. :)
A friend from college sent me a recipe with an Amish Bread Starter via mail. It was such a sweet package! A package in the mail that you didn’t have to order and pay for, from someone who thought of you. Ah so sweet. And the two loaves came out so well! Not bad at all. So, I had no idea what a the Amish bread starter was, but basically it is like a friendship bread making chain. Someone sends it to you with a little bit of bread mix mush, then you add to it your own ingredients, then on day 7, you split it into 4, 3 for 3 friends and 1 for your two loaves. And you send it away and continue the bread-making chain and giving. :) pretty fun! (definitely makes my no carb eating lifestyle more difficult but the love is worth receiving and sharing for it.)
it was only yesterday that i felt so worn out and tired and even burnt out from everything. i was missing some perspective and then, God sweetly encouraged me with a food blogger. She is a physician, mother of 2 toddler boys, and a wife, and on top of that, a prolific food blogger who oozes passion in every single of her posts. i have seen great, excellent blogs and posts of many bloggers before, but they are mostly oozing out overcompensation and a need for a sense of purpose and meaning. not this one, though. (by the way, Alex or others that blog that I know, if you are reading this, i don’t mean u. I respect yours!) She does all that she does in life because she loves to. She enjoys every bit of it, and really makes the most of every single opportunity in her life. Her life is not full of complaints of how she doesn’t have enough time to enjoy it, but she enjoys and makes the most of it by doing what she loves, for the people she loves. I LOVE that! I see her pictures, and she looks tired, she does, yet she looks so full of life. there are some shots of her with a full smile but with red eyes, probably from lack of sleep? But, regardless, she organizes her life in such a way that she doesn’t just do everything she has to do in life and spend the rest moping and complaining about how she’s missing out, but makes time to do the things she wants to do, and loves to do. And she oozes out so much love and joy doing it. Now THAT is a good picture of a life lived in fullness. I don’t know if she’s a believer, but believer or not we can learn from this as followers of Christ. i am so inspired by you today, annie eats. :) thank you for your life well lived. :D thank you God for answering my prayer for something sweet. This was very sweet. sweeter than 300 calorie brownies, and ice cream sundaes, and even a venti skinny caramel macchiatto. lord, you always know what i need. you are my living water and the best bread. you are the bread of my life. :) and i will spend some time today, reflecting on your goodness in the kitchen, baking some banana bread for Nathan’s breakfast tomorrow. :) big day tomorrow.

“Mommy, Daddy, don’t try to be God.
Believe in God.
Just be with God and love God.”
-Nathaniel Jordan Kim, on November 4, 2011
So true, Nathan. Amen. I say amen to that.
